Start-up concept

Papa John's Franchise Development Team will give you the help you need to start your business successfully and quickly. The company’s real estate experts work alongside all new franchisees to review site criteria and market trade regions. Once you have approved a location for your business, Papa John's construction managers and equipment coordinators will guide you through the restaurant design, building plans, and equipment ordering.

Prior to opening your first Papa John's restaurant, you must have an accepted Principal Manager to handle daily operations if you are not planning on taking this role yourself. The Principal Manager must attend the company’s Management Training Program , which will teach him/her the Papa John's operations and business methods through a combination of hands-on and classroom instruction.

Training lasts around 6 weeks, but may be extended if necessary. Papa John's gives new franchisees both preliminary training and continual support, while continuing to serve as a single solution for every one of your restaurant and business needs.

Partner profile

Prospective franchisees should have one partner who qualifies as the Principal Manager and at least one partner with solid business management experience. For people that want to develop a single location, you may ask to be both Principal Operator and owner.

The Principal Manager must have previous management experience comparative to the amount of locations that you want to develop and ought to be able to attain a minimum of 5% equity in the franchise within the first year of hiring.
