History

Jamba Juice was established in 1990 in San Luis Obispo, California. The company has since become the category leader with over 700 company-owned and franchised units across the country.

Training and Support

Training –

Jamba Juice operates certified training units across the country. Jamba requires that the franchisee, an operating partner, or a general manager designated by the franchisee attend Jamba's 6 week, full time, in-unit training program.

This training program will teach you the day-to-day operation of your Jamba Juice unit. In addition, the orientation program will explain in detail how you can leverage Jamba's support center in areas such as marketing, real estate and development, IT and supply chain.

Support –

Franchising with Jamba Juice means you will have access to their extensive support structure:

- Vendors: Jamba Juice sources and contracts globally to ensure that they get the right ingredients delivered to your door at the right prices.

- Marketing: On an ongoing basis, the Jamba Juice Support Center will continue to drive the brand and support your efforts in areas of marketing, real estate and development, supply chain, and IT. Should you have questions or need help with issues in these areas, your RFM will put you in touch with the appropriate person at the Jamba Juice support center.

- Operations: Your Regional Franchise Manager will visit you regularly to ensure the company is meeting your needs on an ongoing basis.

The Franchisee

Jamba Juice is currently seeking qualified franchisees who are as passionate about the Jamba brand.

Becoming a Jamba Juice franchisee requires a minimum liquid capital of $350,000 in the form of cash, or securities that can be quickly converted to cash. In addition, a minimum net worth of $1,000,000 is required in the form of assets that can be used as collateral for a loan. Jamba Juice requires this level of capital in order to help ensure the first unit is appropriately capitalized and that access to capital is available for building additional units.

In most available markets Jamba is seeking to partner with franchisees who want to grow to own and operate several units. The minimum commitment required is 3-5 units within 5 years. Due to specific market conditions, in some areas the minimum commitment may be higher.
