For BrightStar, franchisee training is not just an event, it is a central value. BrightStar is a perpetually learning company, which means that personal growth and continuous learning is expected. The company is always looking for new ways to improve their business and they will always share everything with you. BrightStar has also launched an online training center and learning management system in 2010 that delivers online learning to all franchisees and their teams, which facilitates continuous learning and improvement.

As a new franchise owner, you will start by attending BrightStar’s 4-day new franchsee boot camp. Here you will be oriented in the business and be given all of the information you need to open as quickly as possible. BrightStar will also provide you the criteria to help gather your office team.

As you get closer to your grand opening, you will then attend the company’s 5-day training with your team, which will prepare you for the BrightStar business. This training will cover every aspect of the business from how to find clients, answer the phones, how to hire, and the Athena Business System. Franchisees will choose an operations or sales role in the beginning and then hire someone for the position they do not fill as well.

Partner profile

The typical BrightStar franchisee is either a mid-level manager or above who has 5 years experience managing at least 3 people or more. Some franchisees have owned businesses before, but it is not a requirement. You need to be caring and compassionate, as well as able to build relationships, network, be resourceful, and have sufficient capital.
