Wolford franchise business enjoys strong growth
The Wolford Group, a company which is especially well known for the tights it produces, succeeded in increasing its sales between May 2006 and January 2007 by 16.1 percent to around 108 million euros. According to a report on the Internet portal, börse-online.de, the company was particularly successful in the USA, Great Britain, Germany and Italy.
One of the reasons for this success has been put down to the company’s new store concept. The Group has over 200 shops across the world – around two-thirds of which are run by franchisees – which enjoyed a 27-percent growth in turnover.
Wolford franchisees are given the right to run a Wolford boutique using the Wolford brand name, sign and logo as well as to use the Wolford know-how. Franchisees are also given support to find a suitable premises, to plan the lay-out of the store as well as to plan the business. Furthermore, they take part in training courses, are given a manual as well as a range of marketing aids.
