VooDoo BBQ & Grill continues to expand its franchise network
VooDoo BBQ has, it says, spent a decade building up a franchise system that is proving to be a great success. Having started with 12 stores in south Louisiana, it signed deals for 41 more locations last year and has now just opened its first restaurant outside Louisiana, in Greenville, S.C.
It has now announced that it has welcomed a further franchise owner to its network – Steve Stumpf who, together with a business partner, has signed a franchise agreement to open a VooDoo in Harvey by the end of the year. According to the information provided, the Harvey location will open a whole new clientele to the flavor of VooDoo BBQ. About 300,000 people live on the Westbank, the area across the Mississippi River from New Orleans proper.
Steve commented, “I just saw a void on the Westbank. There’s really no good barbecue over here, and I like the VooDoo concept, their food and quality of service. I like that it’s New Orleans-style barbecue, something that started here, not some national cookie-cutter brand. There’s just a mystique and atmosphere around VooDoo.” (kbp)
