Vapiano franchise chain opens its first restaurant in Turkey
The pizza and pasta restaurant system, Vapiano, opened up its first Turkish restaurant in the City of Istanbul on 28th November. The company has announced that the restaurant, which is being run by several licence partners, is situated in Bagdat Caddesi, one of the city’s most popular shopping streets.
According to Vapiano, four further restaurants should have opened their doors to the public before Christmas in Dortmund, Vienna, Frankfurt and Washington, D.C. This will mean that, at the end of the year, the Vapiano network shall consist of a total of 18 locations in five countries. Plans are already being put into place for new branches to be established in The Hague, Zurich, Münster, Hamburg and Dresden in 2007 as well as in the USA, Hungary and Sweden.
