Testa Rossa Caffè planning 1,000 franchise outlets
Besides running its own outlets, the coffee bar chain, Testa Rossa, has around 20 franchisees in Austria and ten in Germany. The network also has a further 80 locations in other non-German speaking countries, for example in Hungary, Italy, Canada, Dubai and in the USA. The company is now looking to push forward its international expansion plans.
According to a report on Wirtschaftsblatt.at, the company is planning to have set up a network of 1,000 Testa Rossa Caffè bars within the next five years. Testa Rossa is expecting to open up to 170 new franchise locations in the Arab countries alone, particularly in Kuwait, Jordan, Syria and Egypt. Master franchise licences have already been signed for Japan, Slovakia and Romania. And the first Testa Rossa coffee bar in London is due to open its doors to the public in the near future. The Testa Rossa franchise network is owned by the Austrian family-run company, Wedl & Hofmann.
Testa Rossa Caffè offers its franchisees a choice of three business models which depend on the location and profile. A support programme has been set up by the head office for its franchisees which includes training at the company’s own Coffee Academy as well as management assistance and marketing support.
