Spanish Tapas chain, Lizzarran, planning 20 new franchise locations
Lizzarran Tabernas Selectas offer their guests so-called Tapas: small morsels of food with olives, sausage, ham, cheese or seafood. This restaurant chain already has 175 locations around the world in countries such as Spain, France, Portugal, Mexico and the United States.
The network is also planning to continue to expand: in Germany, for example, the franchise system can be found in Bonn, Frankfurt, Karlsruhe, Mannheim and Saarlouis. According to the company, though, further restaurants are currently being planned for the cities of Nuremberg, Heidelberg, Regensburg, Hamburg and Landau. There should be 20 restaurants up and running in the country by the end of 2008. Last year, the network succeeded in increasing its turnover by around ten percent.
