Saladworks franchise continues to grow

According to a report published on the website, restaurantnews.com, Saladworks, one of the country's largest salad franchise concepts, enjoyed a record-breaking year in 2011. The report reveals that last year was a banner year with a strong surge in same store sales with fourth quarter results showing a 15% comparable store increase and year over year increase of 7%.

Furthermore, Saladworks awarded agreements for 73 new locations to both new and existing franchisees representing a 78% increase in franchise revenue. The Brand, already in 12 states, is expanding in major markets such as Washington State, Louisiana, South Carolina, Texas, Florida, California, Arizona and Washington D.C. Last year, the franchise also moved beyond the US borders for the first time signing an international development agreement for Singapore.

In an interview, John Scardapane, chairman and founder, said, “It doesn’t stop here. We’ve got the tools and the drive to grow in other countries. This is only the first step; we’re ready to take this model and use it everywhere.” (kbp)
