Roma Expo Franchising a great success
The Roma Expo Franchising took place this year from 17 to 19 April 2009. Each year, the Roma Expo Franchising has experienced growth thanks to its innovations, efficient communication strategies and its important international partnerships – a fact that has been reflected by the ever increasing number of exhibitors and visitors. This year’s Roma Expo was able to welcome 100 exhibitors from Italy and abroad as well as around 10,000 visitors.
A wide variety of business sectors were represented at this year’s event:
almost half the exhibitors were service providers with the food, clothing,
interior decorating and tourism branches being strongly represented.
Besides presenting various franchise systems, the Roma Expo Franchising also provided a place for franchisors to meet potential franchisees as well as potential franchisees to meet franchise experts, for example lawyers and banking specialists.
This year’s exhibition focused on the subject of women and franchising. In 2008, 5,523 businesses were set up by women, primarily in the areas of retailing and tourism. The strengths of women entrepreneurs lie in their levels of motivation and their flexibility. A section of the exhibition was, therefore, reserved for women interested in setting up their own business – here they were able to meet franchisors and learn more about the franchise concepts. The aim of the organizers was to make the task of setting up a business easier – especially for women.
AC Franchise and Franchisekey took part in this exhibition for the first time during which they launched the Web TV AC Franchise TV Italia, a programme covering all aspects of franchising. (kbp)
