Quiksilver looking to expand in Germany through franchising
The American sports company, Quiksilver, is intending to further extend its
presence on the German market through franchising. According to a report in the
Handelsblatt newspaper, Quiksilver is one of the largest sports businesses with
an annual turnover of around 1.8 billion dollars. Unlike in France, England and
America, the company does not have many stores in Germany. There are currently
only three Quiksilver shops in the country, namely in Berlin, Munich and Leipzig
with the Leipzig branch being a franchise-run business.
