Promcraft goes international
With the winter season and dark evenings upon us, walkingposter’s main business season has also begun. The Berlin-based company, Promcraft, has developed the brands, walkingposter and rollingposter, two eye-catching products. According to the information provided, both are fully illuminated “citylight posters” with the walkingposter being carried on the back of a pedestrian and the rollingposter on the back of a person wearing inline skates, skis or ice skates.
The walkingposters are not only fully illuminated but are also ‘speaking’ posters: different contents such as music or trailers can be downloaded into the poster via the integrated blue tooth transmitter. The patented walkingscreen also has an integrated monitor with a loudspeaker enabling advertising spots, film trailers, music and videos to be played. Traffic regulations do not apply, the company says, as they are carried by pedestrians or skaters on pavements. Furthermore, the rolling or walking posters can be tracked via GPS using a special portal.
The first international master franchise agreement has already been signed for Romania. The company has announced that there will only be two franchise areas in Germany, namely for the south of Germany and for the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The company has, it says, received enquiries from all over the world and is planning to set up a global network over the coming years. (kbp)
