Mrs.Sporty: “Upcomer” of the Year
According to the latest study carried out by the business magazine, Impulse, the women’s fitness club, Mrs.Sporty, is the best “upcomer” of the year. The franchise network developed by Stefanie Graf moved up more than 50 places on the magazine’s list of the 100 best franchise companies in Germany and has now been placed among the top 20 franchise networks on the German market.
Mrs.Sporty was able to improve its position the most in this latest comprehensive analysis of the franchise branch in Germany. Within one year, this “personal sports club for women” moved up from 73rd place to 19th place. “We are really pleased with this development and are looking forward to future challenges,” commented Valerie Bönström, co-founder and managing director of the network. “This great success can, above all, be put down to the work of our franchisees,” she continued. The basis for Mrs.Sporty’s success, however, is the comprehensive and in-depth training which all franchisees receive.
According to the company, Mrs.Sporty is now expanding into Switzerland and Austria where between 50-70 clubs should be set up in both countries. In Germany, Mrs.Sporty already has over 17,000 members in 85 established clubs. A further 90 clubs are currently being developed.
Mrs.Sporty are sports clubs located in residential areas which, the company says, are specially developed to cover the needs of women. The concept is aimed at women of all ages. Three 30-minute sessions are week are sufficient for the members to reach their personal targets. The Mrs.Sporty training and diet concept was developed by Stefanie Graf together with leading German institutes. The concept is then implemented in franchise-run clubs (80 - 200m² in size) with the franchisees showing their members how to lead a healthier life.
