La Boite à Pizza reaches the 100 mark and establishes its brand in the United States
La Boite à Pizza was the first purely French network to become active within the pizza delivery and take-away sector in France. It has now reached a new milestone having opened up its 100th business. According to the company, it is planning to have set up a further 30 outlets by the end of 2008. In 2007, La Boite à Pizza had a turnover of 33.5 million euros.
Having established itself on its domestic market, the network is now looking to strengthen its position in areas where the brand is less well known: it has been experiencing problems, for example, in Paris due to the difficulties of finding suitable locations. Other areas that it is intending to concentrate on in France are Brittany as well as Northern and Eastern France.
As far as its European plans are concerned, La Boite à Pizza would like to launch its concept in other countries. Master franchise agreements have already been signed for Belgium and Great Britain and several restaurants are due to open up in these countries this year.
Furthermore, La Boite à Pizza is looking beyond Europe and is in the process of trying to establish itself in the United States. Its first outlet has already been set up in Miami and negotiations are currently being held with other investors interested in opening businesses in the USA and Canada.
At the same time, La Boite à Pizza is developing its network in China. It recently signed a master franchise agreement for Peking and Shenzhen, a city with 20 million inhabitants located close to Hong Kong. The concept is proving to be popular in Asia and the network is looking at the possibilities of moving onto the Japanese market.
