Kevin Higgins appointed President of Burger King Emea

Burger King Corp. announced last month that it has appointed Kevin Higgins as President of its Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) region who will be based in the company's EMEA headquarters in Zug, Switzerland. According to the information provided, Higgins begins his new role in August, replacing Peter Robinson, who will complete his three-year commitment to the company in October.

"Kevin's industry and multinational experience are significant assets to our business and we are pleased to have him on board," Chidsey said. "We've made considerable strides in the past few years in Europe and the Middle East and we thank Peter Robinson for his contributions to our business. We are confident that through Kevin's leadership, we will continue to build on our accomplishments in the region."

The BURGER KING® system operates more than 11,800 restaurants in all 50 states and in 74 countries and U.S. territories worldwide. Approximately 90 percent of BURGER KING® restaurants are owned and operated by independent franchisees, many of them family-owned operations that have been in business for decades. (kbp)
