IHG appoints David Tessier, Senior Vice President and CFO for the Americas Region

IHG, the InterContinental Hotels Group, has announced that David Tessier has been appointed senior vice president and chief financial officer for the Americas region. He is to take up his position in the company on May 12. According to the information provided, Tessier will be based in Atlanta as a member of the Americas Operating Committee and will be working together with region president Steve Porter and his senior executive team. 

Tessier is to head the Americas’ finance organization and will be responsible for managing the financial operations for all properties in North and South America. He is taking over from Rick Kowaleski who has been appointed senior vice president of Global Funds for IHG.

InterContinental Hotels Group PLC of the United Kingdom is, it says, one of the world’s largest hotel groups by number of rooms. IHG owns, manages, leases or franchises, through various subsidiaries, almost 4,000 hotels and more than 585,000 guest rooms in nearly 100 countries and territories around the world. IHG owns a number of well known hotel brands including InterContinental® Hotels & Resorts, Crowne Plaza® Hotels & Resorts, Holiday Inn® Hotels and Resorts and Holiday Inn Express®.
