Hooters opens first sexy restaurant in Germany
The American restaurant chain, Hooters, has opened up its first restaurant in Germany. According to a report on the Internet portal, cafeFUTURE.net, the restaurant can be found in the town of Neunkirchen close to the US Ramstein airbase so that in all probability around half the guests shall be American soldiers and their families. Other locations are already being planned for cities such as Hamburg and Frankfurt. Hooters is also active in Austria and Switzerland where it has two restaurants in each country. The system is currently looking for further franchisees for the Benelux countries, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, Ireland, Norway and Spain.
Hooters is well-known for its scantily clad staff believing in its motto: "sex sells". The menu contains, among other dishes, Tex-Mex food and steaks. The company, which was founded in 1983, has its head office in Atlanta, USA, and has more than 375 restaurants in just under 50 countries. 118 of the restaurants are run by the company itself with the others being franchise-run.
