Froots Smoothies: eat, drink, be healthy

According to the Mintel International Group, sales in the smoothie market have increased by around 80% over the last five years. Healthy food is becoming more and more popular among the American public especially as such food is being made and presented in a more attractive manner.

Having carried out extensive market research work, David Lopez spotted this trend some time ago. As a result he founded the company Froots Smoothies seven years ago. Unlike other smoothie stores, the Froots Smoothies franchise not only provides its customers with smoothie drinks but also with quick service healthy food such as wraps. Franchisees are given comprehensive support including training, help to find a suitable site and marketing support.

Since its foundation, the network has developed rapidly and now has more than 40 stores in the US as well as in Turks and Caicos, Panama and Ireland. The network’s first store in Puerto Rico is also due to open its doors to the public soon. The company is interested in further expanding its network and is on the look-out for suitable franchisees both in the US and abroad. (KB)
