FASTSIGNS(R) names Catherine Monson CEO

FASTSIGNS International, Inc., the franchisor and operator of FASTSIGNS(R) sign and graphics centers worldwide, has announced that Catherine Monson took up the position of CEO on January 2, 2009. She takes over from FASTSIGNS founder, Gary Salomon, who has taken over as Chairman of the Board and will continue working with Roark Capital, the private equity firm that owns FASTSIGNS.

Gary Salomon, who opened his first FASTSIGNS center in Dallas in 1985, commented, “As I began to look at stepping back from FASTSIGNS, it was important to have someone in my place who understands the mission of FASTSIGNS and what the brand stands for. I know Catherine will continue the legacy and the culture of this great company.”
FASTSIGNS(R) sign and graphics centers use innovation and technology to make the sign buying process simple by offering consulting, design, production, file transfer, delivery, installation for a full range of custom sign and graphic products. The company currently has over 540 FASTSIGNS locations in six countries -- the US, Canada, Australia, Mexico, Brazil and the United Kingdom. (kbp)
