DC franchise launches in Austria
The American company DC is a global brand selling both shoes and sportswear. Having opened up franchise stores in France and the UK, DC has now launched its system in Austria with the opening of its first store in Innsbruck.
Marc Iser, DC Sales Director for Germany and Austria, commented, "We are really pleased to have opened our first store in the German-speaking market in the heart of the Alps. Innsbruck is a major centre for snowboarders and is gradually becoming a skating destination, too."
The franchise shop in Innsbruck opened its doors to the public in the middle of August. DC was founded by Ken Block and Damon Way in California in 1993. Its fashionable clothing is very popular among boarders and skaters. Marc Iser also announced that the company is looking to open up stores in Germany where focus is initially being put on the towns of Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and Cologne. (kbp)
