Cold Stone Creamery reaches milestone store opening on international market

Cold Stone Creamery announced recently that, having initiated its international expansion three years ago, it is now celebrating the opening of its 100th international store as well as the opening of the 25th store in Japan.

Lee Knowlton, President of International at Kahala, parent company of Cold Stone Creamery, commented, “Reaching our 100th store mark has been a great achievement as Cold Stone Creamery continues to deliver the ultimate ice cream experience to ice cream aficionados all across the world.”

The ice cream concept can be currently be found in ten different countries, including the United States, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, China, Indonesia, Mexico, Denmark, United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. According to the information provided, the company is expecting its international growth to continue throughout 2008 and to open a further 40 stores internationally by the end of the year.

Cold Stone Creamery delivers, it says, ‘The Ultimate Ice Cream Experience’ through its network of franchisees. The ice cream is handcrafted fresh daily in each store and then customized by combining a variety of mix-ins. Headquartered in Scottsdale, Ariz., Cold Stone Creamery is part of the Kahala family, a franchisor with a portfolio of quick service restaurant brands. (kbp)
