Carl’s Jr. franchise to enter Brazil
CKE Restaurants, Inc. has announced that it has entered into a restaurant development agreement with International Meal Company (IMC) to develop 100 Carl’s Jr.® restaurants in Brazil over the next seven years.
Ned Lyerly, Executive Vice President of International for CKE Restaurants, commented, “Brazil has one of the most robust economies in the world and our premium-quality food and up-market facilities will resonate well with the discerning Brazilian consumer. IMC’s track record of successful growth and knowledge of the market make them a perfect partner to bring the quality of the Carl’s Jr. brand to Brazil.”
Carl’s Jr. is celebrating more than 70 years in the quick-service industry
and today is a wholly owned subsidiary of CKE Restaurants, Inc. of Carpinteria,
Calif. As of January 30, 2012, CKE has a total of 3,243 restaurants operating in
the United States and 25 other countries, including more than 420 franchised
