Build-A-Bear Workshop announces its 2006 results
Build-A-Bear Workshop, Inc., has announced that its EPS were up in 2006 to $1.44 compared to the $1.35 in the fiscal year, 2005. Its full year net retail sales also increased by 21% to $432.6 million. According to Maxine Clark, chairman and chief executive, these positive results enhance the long-term outlook for the company as a whole.
During the last three months of 2006, Build-A-Bear Workshop opened up six new retail outlets as well as one new friends 2B made® store in the United States and Canada. Two new Build-A-Bear Workshop stores also started business in the UK completing the company’s rebranding of all the Bear Factory Stores which it had acquired in April 2006. A total of 15 new stores were opened up by international franchisees last year. The company has also recently granted franchise rights for South Africa to Intencity Entertainment (PTY) LTD which operates The Crafters Market chain of stores.
Build-A-Bear Workshop, Inc. is a global business offering its customers an interactive make-your-own stuffed animal retail experience.
