According to the company, it is currently looking at granting licences for France, Spain and the Spanish-speaking countries in South America. Moreover, is currently negotiating with potential partners from China. already has two master franchisees for Italy and Poland. The master franchisee is responsible for translating the homepage kit system into the language of the country using a language editor. Other tasks include carrying out PR work and marketing as well as customer support. was founded by David Finkenstädt in 1999. Using the company’s kit, the members can create their own professional homepage. The basic package is free of charge to members. The franchise company also provides its members with an extended range of services including professional online shops, its own domains, the social network,, the opportunity to set up a weblog as well as a survey panel for online market research. The members pay between 9 and 37 euros every six months for the additional services; Beepworld has a turnover of around 800,000 euros a year from these services.
