AlphaGraphics receives environmental certification
AlphaGraphics, Inc. has announced that it is the first print and visual communications franchisor in the United States to obtain a Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Multi-Site Chain of Custody (COC) Certificate. This is, the company says, a key indicator of a company’s commitment to environmental responsibility. FSC certification is granted following a review of procurement processes to ensure that paper and wood products are purchased from sustainable sources. The certificate, which became effective on May 1, is the company’s first step toward obtaining FSC certification for all of its 229 US locations.
Kevin K. Cushing, CEO of AlphaGraphics, commented on the certification, saying, “As visual communication providers, our business centers consume a large volume of paper products, and we are very sensitive to the need to use sustainable sources that support responsible forest management worldwide. FSC Certification demonstrates our commitment to environmentally responsible practices, and it allows our franchisees to demonstrate their commitment as well.”
AlphaGraphics offers solutions for a complete range of print and marketing communications requirements, including full service digital, offset and large format printing, design services, direct marketing and mailing services, promotional products and digital archiving. It is, it says, committed to environmental responsibility and sustainability throughout its operations. AlphaGraphics plans, produces and manages visual communications for businesses at more than 260 owner-operated, locally based business centers worldwide.
