Back then, this concept wasn't just revolutionary but also innovative at its core, so that it attracted many agents immediately. More than thirty years later, RE/MAX still remains a privately operated and owned business, that is still operated by its founders. Our network currently comprises of over 7,000 franchises with more than 100,000 associates working in more than 65 countries. The worldwide RE/MAX phenomenon is build on our ground-breaking policy of maximizing earnings by enabling self-employed agents to retain the major share of all commissions.
