Travelodge to build a further hotel in Dublin

According to a report published on the Internet portal, irishpressreleases.ie, Travelodge is looking to start building a new hotel in Dublin in early 2009.

Seamus McGowan, Travelodge’s managing director, commented, “We are thrilled to announce plans to develop our largest Travelodge. More than ever people want good value for money when choosing hotels and Travelodge has proved itself as the brand of choice and market leader in providing excellent quality, affordable hotels in prime locations.”

The report reveals that Travelodge Ireland was set up in 2004 by Richard O Sullivan and Seamus McGowan who bought the master franchise for Travelodge for the Island of Ireland. They currently operate four Travelodge hotels in Dublin as well as others in Cork, Galway, Belfast, Limerick, Waterford and Derry.

Travelodge hotels can also be found in the USA, Australia, Spain and the UK where they have more than 330 properties. According to the report, Travelodge is the largest developer of hotel rooms in the UK at the moment especially in London. (kbp)
