Town & Country Haus franchise establishes a foundation for home owners

The Town & Country foundation was officially set up on 16 June 2009 to improve the company’s emergency aid programme which is offered to home owners and is valid for a 20-year period once a Town & Country home has been constructed.

According to the information provided, the Town & Country foundation has a capital fund amounting to 1.5 million euros. This capital will be used to support home owners who find themselves in financial difficulties. Home owners who find themselves in financial difficulties through no fault of their own will be able to turn to the foundation to ensure they are able to remain in their own home. The foundation will first provide a professional debt adviser who then negotiates with banks and creditors. If a forced sale of the house is imminent, then alternatives and possible solutions are worked on together with the owner. If a forced sale of the house is unavoidable, the foundation’s council will examine the case in question and decide on the kind and amount of financial support it can provide. According to the company, the aim of this emergency aid programme is not to increase its sales but to try and ensure home owners are able to remain in their homes.

The Town & Country Haus franchise offers its customers low-cost homes built to new standards. The company was founded in Germany and currently has over 280 franchisees. (kbp)
