The National Franchise Exhibition provides two days of good business for visitors and exhibitors alike
The National Franchise Exhibition and the Growing Your Own Business Exhibition & Conference 2008 was held recently (3 & 4 October) at the NEC Birmingham. The organizers of the event have now announced that the exhibition proved to be a great success with visitors and exhibitors alike commending the exhibition.
Supported by the British Franchise Association (bfa), The Daily Express, The Sunday Express and Business Franchise and sponsored by Bartercard, the exhibition showcased a diverse range of franchise and business opportunities. A variety of new businesses were exhibiting for the first time including international ventures such as the Sankalp chain of Indian restaurants. Sujal Mody, Director of International Projects, commented, “While starting our journey from India for The National Franchise Exhibition, we were slightly sceptical as to how people at the exhibition would accept us, but we were really happy with the response we received. Being the only exhibitors from India was a privilege.”
Besides having the opportunity to meet franchisors, the visitors to the event were also able to gather expert financial, legal and business advice at the individual information zones. These included the Find Your Franchise Zone, the Exhibitor Presentation Theatre and the bfa franchise seminars as well as the Women in Franchising Zone.
Dates for your diary: future franchising exhibitions in the UK and Ireland include: The Irish Franchise Exhibition, RDS, Dublin 21 & 22 November 2008 and The British Franchise Exhibition and the Growing Your Own Business Exhibition & Conference, Manchester Central, Manchester, 30 & 31 January 2009. The 2009 National Franchise Exhibition returns to the NEC, Birmingham on 2 & 3 October. (kbp)
