the franchise sector in the UK and Ireland is continuing to do well despite the general economic slowdown

Each year, the NatWest bank joins forces with the British Franchise Association, the bfa, to carry out a survey about franchising in the UK. This survey has been held for 24 years in a row now so the results provide a clear reflection of how the sector is performing in the country. According to this year’s survey, the franchise sector is continuing to do well despite the general economic slowdown. The industry is estimated to be worth £12.4 billion with the average turnover for a franchise-run business lying at £360,000. The survey also reveals that there are over 800 franchise systems operating in the UK and this number is steadily increasing year on year.

One of the best ways to find out more about franchising in any country is to visit a franchise exhibition. The UK is no exception – FranchiseKey has put together a list of the main exhibitions that are coming up soon giving those interested the opportunity to learn more about the franchise sector in the country.
