Texas Chicken expands its presence in the UK
According to a report published on the website, responsesource.com, Texas Chicken®, an international brand of Atlanta-based Church’s Chicken® is expanding its portfolio of restaurants in the UK. New locations are due to open this quarter in Walsall and Huddersfield.
The company’s first UK restaurant opened its doors to the public in February 2008 in a drive to enter new markets in Europe and to provide customers with an alternative to KFC.
The information provided reveals that Texas Chicken is planning to open 10 restaurants this year with an additional 50 for 2010 and beyond. Texas Chicken’s franchising model enables individual franchisees to operate a single or multiple restaurant locations.
Texas Chicken is a global chain of fried chicken fast food with over 1,650 locations in 21 countries across the world. Founded in San Antonio, Texas, in 1952, Texas Chicken began expanding internationally in 1979.
