START Exhibition in Essen: make sure you get a place!

The START Exhibition 2006 which is taking place in the German City of Essen (22nd to 24th September) is allowing companies to hand in a last minute application to take part in the event. The organizers have announced that there are still just a few spaces left. This special offer aims to give a few more businesses the opportunity to present their companies to business founders, potential franchisees and young entrepreneurs.

The organizers believe that, as was the case last year, more than 12,000 visitors will be going to the exhibition to learn more from the 300+ exhibitors and from the 200+ talks, seminars and workshops. START is, with its special franchising programme, aiming once again to be the main franchising meeting point in Germany and there will be a great variety of systems taking part. Visitors can book to visit the exhibition online (non-binding) and save 50% of the entrance fee.

Besides presenting many aspects of franchising, START also provides information on financing and grants, company successions, freelance work and innovative ideas and technology-oriented company start-ups. Further themes are networks and cooperation as well as corporate growth strategies.

The main partners for the START Exhibition in Essen are Go! Das Gründungsnetzwerkes NRW, the German Ministry of the Economy and Technology (BMWi), the KfW Banking Group, NRW.BANK, the Sparkasse Banking Group, the German Franchise Association (DFV) and the business magazine ProFirma. The START Exhibition is to be held at three different locations next year: in Essen as well as in Bremen (4th – 5th May 2007) and in Nuremberg (6th – 7th July 2007).
