PC-Spezialist working together with the "Hand in Hand for Children" Charity
PC-Spezialist, one of Germany’s largest franchise systems retailing IT and digital home entertainment products, began a campaign on 07 December giving its support to the charity organisation, Hand in Hand for Children e.V.. It is selling a special Christmas CD with the proceeds being given to the charity. The Hand in Hand for Children e.V. charity was founded in 1996 and over the last nine years it has succeeded in raising just under four million euros. The money goes towards helping children with cancer. Besides this good cause, money is also spent on building medical centres and children’s homes in Namibia.
Gerhard Seippel, manager of franchise operations in Germany, announced that the system was also intending to provide more hands-on support in 2006. It is intending to help set up networks connecting children’s wards with their homes and schools so that those children fighting cancer shall be given the opportunity to communicate with their parents and family and play an active role at their schools.
The PC-Spezialist system is currently active in Luxembourg, Austria and Germany and is on the lookout for master franchise partners for other countries around Europe.
