Next March: Franchise Expo Paris
The Franchise Expo Paris, the international show for networked entrepreneurs, will once again be opening its doors at the Porte de Versailles exhibition centre in Paris from 14th to 17th March 2008. For over 25 years now, this event has been bringing together big name regional, national and international companies under the aegis of the French Franchise Federation.
According to the organisers, more than 400 brands will be travelling to the event to present, recruit, launch, develop and export their networks. More than 75 different business sectors activities will be represented from delicatessen businesses to off-the-peg clothing, from vehicle hire to real estate, from beautician systems to swimming pools, to name just a few. Besides this, around 30,000 visitors are expected to travel to the exhibition.
A number of special business meeting programmes have been organised to help international investors. An example of this is the Master Franchise Meetings programme which has been put together to enable such visitors to meet exhibitors who are looking to develop internationally. These meetings will be aimed at investors looking for a new concept to implement in their country and also at foreign operators already involved in distribution-related activities and interested in developing new brands.
The Middle East is to be the guest of honour in 2008. A brand pavilion and meetings with investors from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries (Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar), from Lebanon and from Egypt, are being organised and several events (Business Award, conferences, etc.) are being held to highlight the development potential of the region.
