McDonald's to move its European head office to Switzerland

The McDonald’s franchise is to move its head office to Geneva. According to a report published on the website, cafe-future.net, Denis Hennequin, President of McDonald’s Europe, is planning the carry out the move at the end of the year.

The company currently has two head offices in Paris and London and these are to be merged together when the headquarters are moved to Geneva. Information in the report reveals that McDonald’s is following the example of other large companies who have moved to Geneva where they can enjoy considerable tax advantages. Such companies include Kraft, Procter & Gamble, Google, Electronic Arts and Yahoo. (kbp)
