L’Oréal takes over The Body Shop franchise chain
The French cosmetics Group, L'Oréal, is looking to take over the British Body
Shop chain for around 940 million euros. According to reports in the media, the
founder of the Body Shop, Anita Roddick, and her husband shall receive approx.
117 million pounds for their shares. The first Body Shop was opened up in
England over 30 years ago. Today there are just under 2,100 stores around the
world – some of which are run by the company and some through franchising.
