Kieser Training: expansion into Eastern Europe via franchising
According to the company, Werner Kieser, founder and CEO of Kieser Training AG, has recently signed a master franchise contract for Eastern Europe. The contract regulates the expansion of this Swiss business for health-oriented power training in the countries Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia and Croatia. The first two studios are due to start business in Budapest and Warsaw during the first quarter of 2007.
Master franchisee is Dr Sascha Sajer from Vienna who said after signing the agreement, "I know the Kieser Training concept very well indeed and, being a doctor, am convinced of its medical use. I believe, therefore, that there is a great potential for this brand in the growing markets in Eastern Europe.”
Zurich-based Kieser Training AG specialises in therapeutic power training.
Since 1981, Kieser has been expanding its network – mainly through franchising.
