Jack Wolfskin opens its first franchise store in the Czech Republic

Jack Wolfskin, a retailer of outdoor clothing, opened up its first brand-name store in the Czech Republic Prague on 7th February 2008. According to this franchise company, this is a further step in their expansion plans for Eastern Europe. Furthermore, the company’s third Rumanian shop opened up in Timisoara on 21st February. 

Following Romania, Poland and the Ukraine, the Czech Republic is now the fourth Eastern European country in which Jack Wolfskin has launched its concept. The franchisee for the Prague store is SLC Sports which is also Jack Wolfskin’s distribution partner for the Czech Republic.

All in all, Jack Wolfskin now has brand-name stores in twelve countries. Besides being active in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Great Britain, Finland and Japan, it can also be found in China, Romania, Poland and the Ukraine. According to information provided by the company, it is planning to further expand its concept in the four new Eastern European countries and in China this year as well as to enter into new Eastern European markets. Jack Wolfskin products can be found across Europe in approx. 160 franchise stores as well as in 2,400 other retail outlets.
