Hooters moves into Wales

According to a report published on the website, walesonline.co.uk, the American franchise chain Hooters opened its first restaurant in Wales on Monday, 22 November. This is the third Hooters to open in the UK after Nottingham and Bristol and is, the article explains, part of a planned expansion across the country.

Hooters of America, Inc. is the Atlanta-based operator and franchisor of over 455 Hooters locations in 44 states in the US as well as in many countries across the world including Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, UK, Germany, Singapore, South Africa, Spain and Taiwan. The restaurants, which are famous for their scantily clad waitresses, feature “oldies” jukebox music, sports on television, and a menu that includes seafood, sandwiches, salads and spicy chicken wings.
