Grenkeleasing continues to rely on franchising

During the first six months of this year, Grenkeleasing AG succeeded in increasing its group profits after tax by 1 percent to 15.6 million euros compared with the same period last year. According to an announcement made by the company, its EBIT fell from 25 million euros to 22.8 million euros during the same period.

The company has said that these figures can be put down to the group’s expansion abroad which has resulted in additional costs for the current year. The Grenke Group’s new business including that of its franchisees also increased by 9.7 percent. The number of employees working within the group grew from 379 to 410 – around 90 people are employed in the franchise businesses compared with the 51 of last year.

The company has said that it will continue to use franchising to expand its network. According to Grenkeleasing, it has just found a franchisee for Madrid. The Grenke Group is currently active in seventeen European countries. It has franchisees active within its car leasing and factoring divisions in Great Britain, Poland, Norway, Hungary, Romania, Spain and Germany.

Grenkeleasing primarily offers contracts within small ticket IT leasing for products such as computers, notebooks, copying machines, printers or software which involve objects with a relatively low value. Grenkeleasing AG is quoted in the Prime Standard section of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and belongs to the SDAX.
