German Coffee-Bike franchise looking to expand internationally

The Coffee-Bike franchise system currently has five locations in Germany. The company works with delivery bicycles which are transformed into mobile coffee shops that need neither electricity nor a connection to a water pipe. These coffee shops, which can be found in public spaces such as at public events and parties, sell coffee specialities made from organic gourmet espresso beans as well as coffee cocktails, freshly squeezed juices and snacks.

At the end of last year, the company launched its concept abroad for the first time in Romania. According to reports in the press, the franchisor is planning to expand its business into other foreign markets by working together with master franchisees and is looking to be active in at least five countries by 2013. The UK and Ireland are two of the markets it is interested in. (kbp)
