Fressnapf opens its first XXL store
Fressnapf, a network of franchise pet shops, has opened up its first XXL pet shop at its head office in the German city of Krefeld. The franchise company has announced that this new store is to serve as a model for further XXL stores across the country. Focus is being put on live animals in this shop which has a sales area of 1,500m².
Besides this, it is looking to be a centre of expertise bringing together a wide variety of solutions for pets: a veterinary practice has been integrated into the store as well as dog grooming business, a specialist riding section and a dog centre with a dog training school close by.
Just before the new store opened, the founder of Fressnapf, Torsten Toeller, had also officially opened the network’s new administration centre together with the Mayor of Krefeld, Georg Kathstede. Fressnapf currently has approximately 660 stores in Germany as well as around 210 shops in other European countries.
