Fressnapf looking to concentrate on new shopping experiences and services
At Fressnapf’s general meeting in August, not only were new franchise councils and committees elected but the management also made a statement on how they see the company developing in the future.
Over the next few years, the company is intending to concentrate on providing its customers with new shopping experiences and services. To achieve this, it is planning to open up further so-called XXL stores and money will also be invested in the classic Fressnapf shops. To make the shops more attractive, Fressnapf is looking to find a number of cooperation partners to increase its range of services.
The first XXL Fressnapf store opened its doors to public only just recently close to the location of its head office in the city of Krefeld and will serve as a model for further businesses which are to founded around the country. Focus is being put on live animals in this shop which has a sales area of 1,500m². Besides this, it is looking to be a centre of expertise bringing together a wide variety of solutions for pets: a veterinary practice has been integrated into the store as well as a dog grooming business. Fressnapf currently has approximately 660 stores in Germany as well as around 210 shops in other European countries.
