Fastway Couriers with its first ever Franchisees of the Year
Fastway Couriers UK has announced that it has presented its Franchisee of the Year awards for the first time ever. The awards were made to both types of Fastway Courier franchisees, i.e. to the courier franchisee (who collects and delivers parcels) and to the regional franchisee (who provides the management and operations depot).
The winners, who were presented their awards during a gala dinner event, were Simon Allan from Central Scotland as Courier Franchisee of the Year 2007 and Ed James (Tyne & Wear) as Regional Franchisee of the Year 2007. Both were presented with a crystal cut glass award and will be flying to Australia for a two-week holiday and to visit Fastway franchisees in Sydney and Brisbane in February.
Nick Avgerinos, managing director, commented: “Our business is our franchisees; they are the people who have not only made the business one of the fastest growing parcel couriers but also one of the fastest growing franchise organizations.” According to the company, the UK network has increased from 30 franchisees to more than 300 over the last 3 ½ years. It has an annual network turnover exceeding £20m.
