Curves to internationalize its PR programme
An article published recently on the Internet portal, businesswire.com, has revealed that Curves, a women's fitness franchise organization, is to make the PR programme, it has been using in the USA, available to its international franchisees. According to the information provided, the Curves franchise has been working together with eNR Services since 2004 and has been using eNR's Grassroots PR (GRPR) programme to provide local news to local media.
The success of this programme in North America has led to the decision being taken to extend these PR tools to Curves’ international franchisees. By introducing the programme to its franchisees in the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand, the franchisees will be able to build media lists and distribute press releases to their local media and have online access to the PR application. Curves will be the first company to launch eNR's GRPR programme outside the United States and Canada.
The Curves franchisees run fitness studios for women in which their customers can take part in a 30-minute workout scheme. Besides this they are also given nutritional advice based on a book written by the founder of the franchise, Gary Heavin. Founded in the States in 1992, the Curves franchise network now consists of over 10,000 locations and stretches across 55 countries around the globe.
