Curves looking for franchise partners for 1,200 fitness clubs
The CFW Group, a subsidiary of the world’s largest fitness club franchisor Curves International, opened up its second German club in Rosenheim on 13th February and a further branch is due to start business in March. According to the company, it is planning to open up around 1,200 new clubs across Germany over the next five years.
Germany’s first Curves club was set up in September 2005. In the USA and Canada, approximately 27 percent of all fitness clubs are run under the Curves name making it the largest fitness franchise system. In Europe, Curves has so far been especially successful in Ireland and Spain: there are more than 100 clubs in each of the countries with them being run by franchise partners. Worldwide, the company has almost 10,000 locations in 38 countries. According to the magazine, "Franchise Times", Curves International is the tenth-largest franchise company in the world as far as the number of units is concerned.
Curves provides its customers with a 30-minute
work-out programme combined with power training and exercises to improve the
body’s cardio-vascular functions.
