Countrywide Signs finalist at the bfa HSBC Franchisor of the Year Awards
Countrywide Signs is, it says, committed to best practice, high ethical standards and continuous improvement. To ensure that estate agents and letting agents continue to receive a market leading service each and every time, it gives particular focus to supporting each member of its national network of Countrywide Signs franchise owners, which now totals 60-plus local operators and over 150 vans.
This fact was recognised recently when Countrywide Signs beat off stiff competition to become finalists in the bfa HSBC Franchisor of the Year Awards in the ‘best franchisee support’ category.
“We are very proud to have received this prestigious award,” said John Ball, Countrywide Signs Sales & Marketing Director. “Other event finalists at the awards ceremony included McDonald’s and O2, which shows you how high the level of competition really was! Of course coming this close to winning makes us even more determined to improve, for the benefit of members, of our network and – crucially – the end customer, estate and letting agents throughout the UK.”
On announcing the finalists, the bfa said of Countrywide Signs: “As the property market has been among the hardest-hit sectors during the economic downturn, franchisee support has been crucial to the continued success of Countrywide Signs. Promotion from within the franchise gives head office a strong franchisee perspective and ensures they understand the support needed for success. Support begins before a franchisee has even signed on the dotted line, with financial advice and assistance provided to prospective owners and a two-year programme of marketing support for new franchisees. Continual investment has evolved [Countrywide Signs’] support systems and increased the ability of the franchisor to work with franchisees. Technology support has allowed franchisees to use QR codes on boards to provide further information to customers, as well as providing the ability for individuals to order their own custom-made signs.” (kbp)
