Cinnabon franchise looking to expand both at home and abroad

Cinnabon is one of the global leaders within the cinnamon roll bakery sector. Founded in Seattle in 1985, it opened its first bakery on December 4, 1985 at Sea Tac Mall. According to the information provided by the company, bakeries can now be found in 41 states, as well as in Puerto Rico and over 30 other countries around the world. Cinnabon® bakeries are primarily located in high-traffic locations such as shopping malls, airports, universities and train stations.

Cinnabon® is owned by FOCUS Brands Inc.®, which is franchisor and operator of more than 2,200 ice cream stores, bakeries, sandwich shops and cafes worldwide under the brand names Carvel®, Cinnabon®, Schlotzsky's® and Moe's Southwest Grill®. According to the company, besides looking for further franchisees in the States, Canada and Mexico, it also has plans to develop in a number of selected countries around the world.

To achieve this, it is on the look-out for qualified franchisees who are interested in carrying out multi-unit development in exclusive territories around the world. The countries that Cinnabon names include Morocco and Tunisia in Africa, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, South Korea, Russia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam in Asia as well as Israel and Pakistan in the Middle East. Moreover, it is looking to expand in both Latin America and Australia and New Zealand.

Furthermore, the company is intending to push forward the expansion of its brand throughout most of Europe with countries such as Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom being at the top of their list.
