Battery Doctors arrives to Spain
The American chain specialized in the care of the batteries enters in Spain through its Portuguese masterfranchise, and opens its first establishment in Aranjuez, Madrid.
The franchise Battery Doctors, based on the treatment of batteries to prevent its deterioration or to repair them when already they are damaged, arrives to Spain since February 2006. Born in the United States in 2001, the company has in the North American country a network of more than 1,000 operators and a staff of near 800 people. It is also present in Latin America and Asia.
It entered in Europe in 2005 with two Portuguese investors, Abilio and Hernany Silva, who achieved the masterfranchise to extend the activity in the Iberian Peninsula. In Portugal already exist 14 Battery Doctors franchises, that uses chemical agents developed in the United States by ProTec to deal with and to prevent the harmful leadsulfate and oxidation of the batteries. In Spain with its head office in Pozuelo de Alarcon, the company is going to start up its first own establishment in Aranjuez.
The expansion plans of the company pursue 15 operators in Spain at the end of 2006, and 40 in the Iberian market. The Battery Doctors franchise profile are professionals of the car, of computer science, people with its own business that they would like to diversify it or people who looks for autoemployment.
The investment necessary to start up a Battery Doctors franchise is of 27,000 euros. That includes the entree fee, the license of exclusivity, the material and the training. The location premises are 50 square meters for warehouse, repair shop and office, in areas with more than 100,000 inhabitants.
