Australian Homemade looking to help protect the environment
The chocolate and ice cream specialist, Australian Homemade is planning to open up two new outlets in the German cities of Leipzig and Cologne during the month of March 2007. This will mean that the network in Germany will consist of eight branches; the Australian Homemade company is currently active on four continents in eleven countries where it has over 80 shops.
In addition to this, Australian Homemade is planning to sell a special ice cream each month in all of its shops from April to September to help save the polar bear and its environment. The company has announced that a percentage of the money taken for the ice cream is to be donated to the IFAW (International Fund for Animal Welfare).
"Only natural ingredients" is the motto of the Australian Homemade brand as Australian Homemade premium ice cream & chocolates are made using only natural ingredients without any artificial colourings, flavourings or preservatives. There are three different kinds of stores: “Express” (up to 30m²) as well as “Traditional” (up to 80m²) and “XL" (100m²+), all of which are on primary locations. According to company information, it is on the look-out for franchise and master partners all around the world to enable it to launch its system onto further markets. However, priority is currently being given to the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Austria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
